Score Selection | Joshi Consultancy Services

Joshi Consultancy Services collaborated with First1club, a platform dedicated to Formula 1 (F1) race predictions, to develop core features of a Prediction Workflow focused on forecasting the final standings at the end of F1 races.

The project enabled motorsport enthusiasts to predict the top 10 drivers’ positions post-race, integrating gamification to enhance user engagement. Leveraging Drupal’s scalable framework, we delivered a solution that streamlined the prediction process, improved user interaction, and positioned First1club as a premier platform for F1 fans.

This case study outlines how Joshi Consultancy Services achieved First1club’s objectives, utilized Drupal’s ecosystem, and delivered impactful results.

Why Drupal was chosen

Drupal was chosen for First1club’s F1 Final Standings Prediction Workflow due to its ability to manage complex, data-driven systems with high scalability and seamless integration capabilities.

First1club needed a platform that could integrate with F1 data APIs to fetch official final standings, handle dynamic user predictions during race weekends, and scale to support a global audience of F1 fans. Drupal’s API-first architecture facilitated real-time integration with F1 race data providers, ensuring accurate and timely updates for final standings. Its modular framework allowed us to build a customized prediction system while leveraging contributed modules for automation and gamification.

Drupal’s scalability ensured the platform could handle traffic surges during high-profile races like the British or Italian Grand Prix. Furthermore, Drupal’s robust security features safeguarded user predictions and ensured the integrity of the standings data, critical for maintaining trust among competitive F1 fans.

The Drupal community’s extensive resources and support enabled us to deliver a high-quality solution within the project timeline.

First1club engaged Joshi Consultancy Services to build a Prediction Workflow tailored for predicting the final standings at the end of F1 races, aiming to create a competitive and engaging platform for motorsport fans. The key goals were:

  • Enable F1 Final Standings Predictions: Allow users to predict the top 10 drivers’ positions at the end of each F1 race (e.g., “Max Verstappen in P1, Lewis Hamilton in P2”) through an intuitive interface.
  • Gamify User Engagement: Incorporate gamification elements, such as points and badges, to reward users for accurate predictions of final standings, fostering sustained participation throughout the F1 season.
  • Ensure Scalability for Race Events: Design a system capable of handling high user traffic during F1 race weekends, with real-time updates to final standings data post-race.
  • Automate Prediction Evaluation: Streamline the process of evaluating predictions against final standings, calculating scores, and notifying users of results with minimal manual effort.

The requirements included a prediction submission form for users to input their top 10 driver standings for each race, integration with third-party APIs to fetch official F1 final standings data post-race, a gamification system to award points based on prediction accuracy (e.g., points per correct position), and a scalable back-end to support thousands of users submitting predictions during race weekends. Security and data accuracy were paramount, given the competitive nature of the predictions and reliance on official race results.

Joshi Consultancy Services successfully delivered a robust F1 Final Standings Prediction Workflow for First1club. We developed a custom prediction form where users could submit their top 10 driver standings before each race, integrated with an API to retrieve official F1 final standings data after races concluded, and implemented a gamification system that awarded points for each correctly predicted position (e.g., 10 points per correct position, with bonus badges for predicting the entire top 3 accurately).

The workflow automated the entire process: predictions were locked before the race start, final standings were compared against user submissions post-race, and users received notifications with their scores and rankings.

The platform managed over 12,000 concurrent users during the 2025 British Grand Prix, with no performance issues, and First1club reported a 40% increase in user engagement and a 25% improvement in user retention across the F1 season.

The Final Standings Prediction Workflow has established First1club as a leading platform for F1 fans to test their motorsport knowledge in a competitive, rewarding environment.
